First opened in 2010 Retro Rents Painted Ladies

was the second official short term rental in the Terlingua Ghost Town.

Dr. Sam had just opened his semi-retirement Veterinary practice,

He officially retired in 2021, now he is a part-time handyman

Jack-of-all-trades for the Painted Ladies.

Dani retired from 45 years of dog grooming and Vet assistant,

to now full time artist/owner of the

Painted Feather Gallery, right on the property.

Each year or 2 we purchased an older Airstream trailer, restored it to as close

to original as we could and then updated with fresh colors and modern amenity's.

Josephine was our first, named after one of Sam's great aunts.

Then came the others - each unique and very lovingly restored.

Kerri joined our Painted Ladies family in 2020

and took over the day to day operations.

Then in 2024, she opened her own store

"Gypsy Everstuff" selling all things collectable

right next door to the Painted Feather.
